Remember this post? When I recorded that tutorial I was still using a PC (RIP little Valentine). When I switched over to a Mac I had to reset and resave my Photomatix batch settings. I ran into a little hitch which I attribute to Macs being Macs and, since I've received several inquiries, I'm reposting for Mac.

Jan 20, 2016. Errors might appear when Photomatix could not process images for some reason (eg. When it couldn't find bracketed sequences). In the screenshot above I cancelled the batch processing by clicking on the Stop button, hence the message. In the bottom right corner you have settings to specify your output settings. I used a 1 kg (2.2 lbs) bag of dried beans and it was a little more than doubled, so 1 lb of dry beans should work good for one batch! Just make sure to soak and cook the beans thoroughly before using them for this recipe. And I added about 2 tsp of salt per batch to make them close to the normal canned bean taste. Photomatix Pro is a standalone HDR photo editing application for Linux, Mac, and Windows. Mainly, photographers use the application to: Merge, adjust, and edit exposure brackets on a batch or single image project. With the merged image, you can then: Adjust an image's saturation and curve range levels.

Back? Okay, the only difference between Mac and PC is that Mac hides the presets from you. Or maybe I'm just not MacMinded enough yet to know how Macs save things. And something else that's weird on a Mac… Sometimes when you open the batch dialog your previous settings will be there, sometimes not. If you have to navigate to the settings you have to know where they live and, again since I'm not very MacMinded, that was problematic for me. So, here's the secret.

Memorize that location because, like I said, sometimes you'll have it but sometimes you'll have search for it. Everything else is the same.
