In all this time of being a rather devoted Blu-ray collector, I realized that I don't own any of the Looney Tunes cartoons on Blu-ray. I was rather pleased to find that the Platinum collections #1-3 on Blu-ray were available on Amazon and Best buy between $17-$20 each. So, I just ordered the three Platinum collections. Looney Tunes Platinum Collection is a set of Blu-ray box sets with three discs and two-disc DVDs. Disc 3 is special features and exclusive to the Blu-ray set. Each release for both formats contain fifty Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies animated shorts. The first volume was announced for Blu-ray in July 2011, and released November 15, 2011 (while the DVD version was released July 3, 2012. Looney Tunes Platinum Collection: Volume 3 is a Blu-ray and DVD release containing 50 shorts on 2 discs with special features. It was released for Blu-ray on August 12, 2014,[1] and was released for DVD on November 4, 2014.[2]
According to Jerry Beck on the Stu's Show from early 2013-2014, he said it will probably be the last volume of the series due to the low sales of the second volume in 2012 and no remastering budget for Warner Bros. to remaster shorts previously unreleased on DVD and Blu-ray. Only 4 cartoons are new to disc. This is the first and only volume where the Blu-ray only has two discs.[3] 2018 klr 650 clymer manual. Included is a 12-page booklet similar to what came with Volume 2.
